rules.

1. be civil to everyone else OOC.
we don't expect you to be best friends with everyone, but we do ask that you not be rude. try to be inclusive as well! welcome new members, thread with different people, ect. this gives everyone a chance to have fun and enjoy the site.


2. we do not tolerate hate here. no racism, sexism, homophobia, ect.
this is a very serious rule. if we catch you being hateful towards another member, you will be banned. we allow people of all beliefs and orientations here, all we care about is that you follow our rules.


3. try to log in often.
even if you aren't posting, just logging into the forum looks good and helps us know you're active.


4. graphics can be no larger than 600x600px.
you may link to larger images, just not embed them. your avatar should be 150x150px. signature images should be 500x250 or smaller. 


5. follow the Proboards ToS.
no explicit content, for example. we allow mild violence, the suggestion of sexual situations, swearing in moderation, and the mention of illicit substances. we do not allow graphic descriptions of violence or sex, and we ask that you don't spam foul language in our chat or in posts. we're not sure why dinosaurs would be doing drugs or having hot sex (they had cloacas!) but we have to have this rule.


6. one account per character.
although switching accounts isn't everyone's favorite thing to do, this helps keep everything organized. it takes less than 5 seconds to switch accounts - look at the row of buttons on the bottom right of your screen! you may have an optional OOC account.


7. we currently only allow 3 species.
tyrannosaurus, dakotaraptor, and archeroraptor. in the near future, if people are interested, you will be able to play a much wider array of Hell Creek creatures. rexy and the raptors are likely to be everyone's favorites to play, since they're cool.


8. ten characters per person.
in the future you can buy more (and this will increase when new species are playable), but for now this is our limit. this is to make sure we don't have oodles of characters that are essentially inactive/unused.


9. try to post IC once a month.
once a month per player, once every two months per character. unless you are on absent leave and have let us know, then you're off the hook until after your return date.


10. applications cannot sit for more than two weeks without being finished.
you will be given ample warning, but if your application sits as a WIP (work in progress) for more than 14 days, it will be deleted and you can start over when you're ready.


11. general roleplay rules (no god-moding, powerplaying, invincibility)
don't control other player's characters. no character can be so powerful that it cannot be defeated. battles can be decided by dice roll. 

about realism.

we allow some degree of alteration. tyrannosaurs may be fluffy or naked - due to conflicting evidence, we have no opinion on this website on whether or not t. rex had feathers in real life or to what degree. for our raptors, we will allow them to be partially scaley or fully feathered. in real life, both dakotaraptor and archeroraptor were likely covered in advanced feathers much like birds are today.

we accept just about any coloration or pattern for your dinosaur, as long as it's not super crazy.

dinosaurs couldn't talk (probably.) ours can! it is assumed that every species
of dinosaur can talk to one another here, for ease of RP.
